1st day: HAVANA.

Arrival and welcome at the airport.

Transfer to accommodation. Welcome dinner with danceable musical activity. Return to accommodation.

2nd day: HAVANA

9:30 am- Conference "Afro-Cuban roots on the island, influences on cultural and social life". After the conference visit Callejón de Hamel, a community cultural project linked to the Afro-Cuban culture, which began in the 90’s by the renowned painter, sculptor and muralist Salvador González Escalona. At the end of the tour enjoy a live musical dance performance, showing the rhythms and dances of the Afro roots. Lunch. In the afternoon, tour the four main squares of colonial Havana.

Return to the accommodation. Free night.

3rd day: HAVANA

10:00 am Workshop of Cuban rumba and percussion (2 hours). The rumba is one of the typical dances of the African heritage in Cuba, and the percussion has a strong influence of its rhythms that Cubans have adopted as their own. The result of this fusion and mix of sounds will delight the visitors who can dance and play guided by the expert teachers. Lunch in a local restaurant in the area. In the afternoon, visit the National School of Dance and the National School of Music, to be part of a meeting with their students and teachers, and appreciate first-hand their artistic training. Return to the accommodation. In the evening, visit the Morro Cabañas to enjoy the Cannon Shooting Ceremony at 9:00 pm. Photo session at the Cristo Statue of Habana, one of the most beautiful views of the city. Return to accommodation.

8:00 am Departure to the province of Matanzas: Visit the ruins of the Triunvirato Sugar Mill to learn about the traditions and life of the Africans who arrived in Cuba during the era of slavery. At the end of the tour, enjoy the shade of a beautiful ceiba of a wonderful performance by Obini Oñi, a group that recreates Afro-Cuban rhythms and sounds. Upon completion, transfer to Varadero for accommodation and lunch.

In the evening: Gala dinner, open bar and jazz night. Although jazz is not an original rhythm of the island, it has at its base the Afro rhythms of West Africa and was developed by the black community settled in lands of North America. Its influence was present in the island where there are large exponents of this music. Return to accommodation.

2:00 pm Departure to Cienfuegos. City tour, and accommodation in Cienfuegos.

8:30 am Departure to the town of Lajas, talk about the life and work of Benny Moré and his imprint on Cuban music. Visit his tomb, Museum and Casino of the Royal Congos. The Benny, as he was popularly called, was a famous Cuban and international musician of empirical training and Afro-Cuban origin nicknamed the barbarian of rhythm and the greatest sonero of Cuba. Transfer to Trinidad for accommodation and dinner.

8:30 am Tour of the Villa de la Santísima Trinidad one of the oldest and best-preserved cities of the island. Visit the Valle de los Ingenios and the ruins of the Central Manaca Iznaga, climb to the viewpoint located in its tower. Lunch. Return to the city of Havana.

9:00 pm Farewell dinner.

8th Day: HAVANA

Transfer to airport for departure flight.
